Whiskey Walking Tour

Overview
Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Join this tour and discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the longest continuously produced whiskey in America. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, and all about the revival of craft spirits. Get 4 additional and generously poured samples of whiskey as well.
**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with tastings. Adults 21+ only; children + dogs are welcome to join; approx. 1 mile of walking
**Included: 3 solid whiskey samples / hot toddy, cider or mint tea on cold days / coupon for one free drink at the Wigle distillery / Minitature whiskey cocktail at end of tour.

My partner and I had a great time getting to walk around and see the city while learning all about the history of whiskey. Aaron is full of good information and you can tell he is genuinely passionate about the history. As someone who isn’t a big history buff I enjoyed hearing Aaron’s way of telling the story and had some laughs along the way. Great way to have spent our time in Pittsburgh! Thank you!

We did the tour in the afternoon after taking the walking tour in the morning. We like Corrie, the guide, so much that we decided to do both tours with her. She is fantastic, very knowledgeable and attentive and very funny. We learnt a lot about Pittsburgh, its important history and the main downtown buildings. She took her time to show us the main places. The whiskey tour complimented the walking tour nicely and ending the tour at the Speakeasy of the Omni William Penn hotel was just a wonderful experience. We highly recommend the tours run by this company and Ms. Corrie.

We expected a whiskey tour - we got a super entertaining history tour made even better with some sips of whiskey and a great ending in an awesome speakeasy. Our guide, Corrie, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you're thinking about doing it - don't wait - well worth it!
