White Salmon River
Rafting the White Salmon River is one of the best-kept recreation secrets of the Pacific Northwest! You may have seen photos or video of Husum Falls, the 10-foot commercially-run waterfall, or heard stories of incredible adrenaline-pumping whitewater rafting and we could not agree more. The White Salmon River is located only 90 minutes from the Portland/Vancouver area so that you can experience some of the most thrilling and sporty III-IV rapids in the area. The glaciers of Mt. Adams combined with the immense aquifers in the area, keep the White Salmon bubbling all summer long. The river cuts its way through one of the most beautiful, constricted, and heavily forested gorges in the area. The water is gin-clear, the weather is fabulous and rapids are big and numerous; making the White Salmon River one of the most exciting half-day or full-day river rafting trips in the west!

This adventure was so amazing! A couple of us in our group are older and out of shape so after I booked it I was getting nervous but this trip was so much fun I will definitely book again with River Drifters! Our group of 5 had Eric as our guide and he was fantastic! Even though there were 17 other people on the tour we felt as though we were on a private tour. There was hardly ever any pulling over and waiting for other rafts and Eric just guided us at our own pace. All the equipment was provided to make us feel very safe and comfortable. SO MUCH FUN! Mahalo Eric for the experience of a lifetime!

Had Jake as a draft guide, showed the group a cabe and a few really neat springs, had some awesome conversations floating down the river. Amazing navigator too.

It was such an awesome trip on the river today. The rapids were big and with many large waves - so much fun. You should definitely choose this tour if you want your rafting experience to be challenging but most of all fun!!!!’ And Chris our guide was so cool and skillful.
