Stayed in the Kodiak “cabin” for two nights and enjoyed a day of ziplining and whitewater rafting. Staff involved with booking and check-in were extremely helpful and courteous. Adventure guides Mox and Liam made us feel safe and helped make the trip that much more memorable. I appreciated that they put thought into how groups were matched into rafts. Our raft (impressively guided by 20 year old Mox!) included another family with kids. Hands down the whitewater rafting was the most exhilarating and fun experience- what an amazing find just 3.5 hours away from home. The boys also enjoyed ziplining - just wish I had brought my camera. The staff were good about staying masked even when physical distancing was difficult. The only times I felt uncomfortable was when we were all crammed on a bus (but with windows open and every person masked) and after rafting when everyone crammed into a small bar to view pictures of the rafting. We golfed the small nine hole golf course the following day. The course is not kept in the best of shape, which made for a frustrating and less fun experience (I would pay more and travel farther away to golf at a nicer course). Staying on property was convenient and having our own “cabin” (prefab trailer) with bathroom was appreciated. The setting was peaceful- tucked in the woods atop a hill adjacent to the river. Having a full kitchen is convenient and the sleeping accommodations adequate. The trailer is dated and the A/C really only cools the main living room while the bedroom and sleeping loft above were warm (bring a fan or two when nights are warm). We enjoyed having a place to build a fire and toast marshmallows and smores (firewood delivered for a price$), and also enjoyed exploring the nearby towns in the UP (ate twice at Knight Owl in Norway as recommended by Wildwood staff and had good experiences both times especially liked the outdoor dining. Traveled to Iron Mountain and had some amazing pasty - great find!). Overall, I would recommend this unique experience for teens through adults. It was a memorable way to end the summer in a Covid era.

Thanks for the review and the feedback on some of these things. It's great to know what our guests think and it sounds like you had a good time. We'll pass on your words to Mox! Thanks again!

We came here to do some whitewater rafting and we were not disappointed. The guide, Mike, was great and we had 2 great runs through the main rapids. There is also a bar/restaurant attached that had a wife selection of beers and amazing cheese curds. We will definite be back.

For my family it was our 4th trip to Wildman. We brought 7 newbies along for rafting and ziplining. Everyone had an absolute blast. The guides are extremely knowledgable and are funny. Most of there jokes anyway. :) I highly recommend this place for anything they offer. The 7 newbies all stated they want to go back next year with us too. On a side note the water level was higher than normal and running g quite quick. I believe the guide said it was 3200 cfm on Sat when we went. My boat earned the coveted spots on there swim team.

Thanks for coming back! It sounds like you are starting a small Wildman following. Thanks for spreading the word and we'll be looking forward to your 5th trip at Wildman! (we'll let the staff know you enjoy their "great jokes")
