Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

First time white water rafting for our family, including two teenagers. Everything was great from the scheduling to the check-in, and the overall rafting trip. It was obvious we were with the best company on the river. Cody was an outstanding guide, very knowledgeable and personable, made us all feel safe, and made it a very fun time for all of us. Two years ago we took a trip on the class 1-2 rapids because of our youngest's age. This year he was old enough to ride the class 3-4 rapids. We all had a blast. Brett was a great guide. He kept us entertained and busy on the river. I would definitely recommend a trip down the Pigeon River with Big Creek Expeditions. Then catch lunch up river at the Bean Tree Cafe.

Our large group of 14 people, ranging in age from 14 to 58, had a great time on the river. We were put in two rafts. Both guides were experienced, knowledgeable, and made our whole raft trip more enjoyable. Our guide's name was Erica and I don't remember the name of the other guide, but they referred to him as "old man river" The river was fast with big rapids but our guide was so experienced and calm we felt safe the whole time. The takeout is back at your cars and the warm showers at the end felt so good.
