Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

I was initially a little worried about this because I cannot swim. But our guide Sarah made the trip enjoyable and was very informative. This is a must do for anyone visiting this area.

My family and I had such a great experience here! Our guide, Johnny B, was so good and entertained us the whole trip. Definitely ask for him if you are thinking about rafting. We had smiles and laughs! Go do it!

We rafted the Upper Pigeon with our TOTALLY awesome guide Chew on Wednsday July 28th! It was a great experience and ride! Chew did a fantastic job navigating us down stream while making sure we hit all the good stuff that was runnable that day! He was very knowledgeable about the river, the routes and general information about the area. The entire crew with Big Creek Expeditions was very friendly, informative and thorough with saftey, instructions, and the overall running of the trip! We definitely recomend this trip to anyone coming to the area and looking to get wet! While this trip was a little tamer than what we were looking for it is still a great time and a beautiful way to spend some time out on the river! Its all good though, we were very happy!!! Thanks again Chew! You the man! Hope to have you take us down the Ocoee here soon!!! Signed, Your Good Virginians!!
