My husband and I had the best time white water rafting the the upper pigeon river! Thank you so much to Big Creek Expeditions for showing us a great time. Our guide, Dylan, was a blast!

The Pigeon river is a nice, easy rafting experience. Our party of 11 arrived on time and were given the rundown on procedures, etc, along with the other parties of rafters. When two of the guides did not show up for work, our party was told to wait for other guides to arrive while the others went ahead. After about half an hour, they finally arrived and we went through the tour. Surprisingly, we caught up with the group ahead of us on the river. We were rushed through the river, our group was not offered a chance to swim with the others and it was overall just a rather disappointing experience. Would not use this company again, I felt taken advantage of.

Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We do apologize that you all felt rushed on the river as well as that you did not have the opportunity to swim with the others. As we did end up extremely short staffed for that day, we were trying to make sure to you all still got to experience the whitewater adventure. We are deeply sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. If you would like to give us a call at 423-487-0178 to resolve this issue we would be more than happy to assist you. We hope you have a great day.

Well... Visited with three teenage boys. It was our first time going white water rafting. We were expecting more rapids and a challenging ride. We are experienced with canoeing and this was not at all challenging. More down time then expected. Would of been great if our guide would of given a little bit of history of the area, dam and company. He was telling jokes and really didnā€™t like to answer questions when ask. We were not offered to get into the water at any point but other guides allowed it. Area was nice and clean but showers were closed. Would highly recommend being there early, they hold your keys for you at the counter. Recommend: sport shorts, tank top and water shoes or old sneakers. A change of clothes because you will get wet. Over all not bad!!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We are sorry that the river was not as challenging as you were hoping for, as we do classify this river as an intermediate whitewater adventure. We would also like to apologize on behalf of your guide. It is not typical for guides to avoid questions as most of our guides are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to make this up to you in the future. Please give us a all at 423-487-0178 if you would like to discuss this issue further. Have a great day.
