My party booked this tour months in advance. They decided to cancel at the last minute but word did not reach us in Anchorage. They chose to call my mother's home in New Jersey. We are still working on getting a refund.

This short tour is a nice way to see the Alaska Wildlife Center and Portage Lake. The tour was easy to book and the van was comfortable. The tour could remove the stop on the return at the Artist Gallery (chain saw figures and local painters) to provide more time to view the animals at the wildlife center.

It is nothing like the description and the previous review. We received a time and pick-up location change notice from Ben 3 days before the tour. A possible guess is they have more guests booking so decided to scattered the original one tour to several ones. The tour itself is basically not a tour but only a commute. Driver pick you up, talk a bit chit-chat, stop for a photo, then drop you off at the conservation area. We were told we only have 1 hour to finish our visit (that in no ways can make the total a 4.5 hour tour) and no explicatory staff at all. Then comes the worst part, when we finish the viewing (not much to see after all) and wait at the pick up parking lot there's no one there! We have to contact Ben the one who seems in charge to ask for our van back! He claimed that the driver was there left on time but that's totally a lie coz we and the other couple were there all the time and I don't buy any tour bus will left exact at the time! We waited another HOUR for the shuttle come. This is the first time I book from trip advisor and no doubt the worst experience on all my travel history.
