Our tour was the highlight of our trip. Our driver and tour guide was the owner Ben, a native Alaskan. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area, it's history, it's culture and the amazing scenery we encountered. We got to see a great deal of wildlife including wild salmon in their natural environment, bears, wolves, caribou, musk ox, etc. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a laid back interesting and informative tour.

I had one day in Anchorage and was looking for something to do. I came across this tour from Alaska's Finest Tours and booked on-line for the next day. Ben our guide, quickly texted me to be certain I knew our meeting location and time. Happened to be a beautiful fall day in Anchorage and the tour was outstanding! Ben was born and raised in Alaska, thus his knowledge of the area was great. The tour bus was very comfortable and Ben was a great driver. We were greeted with beautiful scenery along the Highway to the Turnagain arm. Stopped at several shops for tasting smoked fish and sausage and a great candy store. Along the way, we saw Beluga Whales, drank mountain spring water from the source and had a great visit at the Alaska Conservation Center. We thought the tour was over, but no.....Ben then took us to Portage to see several "hanging glaciers" and watched Sockeye Salmon swim in the water. Really a great tour and great value. I highly recommend this tour when you are in Anchorage!

We had a day to spend in anchorage at the end of our cruise before we flew back to New York. We chose this tour in part because of the timing, and in consideration of what we wanted to see. This tour gave us a very good few hours to be out and about, somewhat on the outer edge of Anchorage on the Turnagain Arm that proved to be very picturesque, and abundant with great scenery. I am very glad that we got acquainted with yet another part of Alaska before we headed home. We saw Baluga Whales, trumpet swans, huge salmon that were spawning, and over all great views of the mountains, rivers and glaciers. The wildlife preserve is truly wonderful to see, and exemplifies how much the Alaskans care about preserving the natural wildlife. Our tour guide did a really great job at making sure we saw everything the tour could possibly have to offer. It was Labor Day, and she is in real life a school bus driver, and we were just lucky to get her because there was no school that day!. She provided us with a lot of information and history about the area and was very willing and able to answer all of our many questions. I think our very friendly tour guide's name may have been Laurie?? or- something close to that- however, if Im wrong about her name, Im certainly right about the great job she did for all of us that day. Again, this is a very worthwhile tour and I would strongly recommend it . Visit the Turnagain Arm before you leave Anchorage or Seward.
