Wildlife and Whale Watching Excursion.

Overview

We are family owned and operated as well as locally owned and operated. We are constantly in touch with tour operators to know exactly where the best places to see local wildlife. We do not GUARANTEE Whales or wildlife on our tours but, this is our hometown, we know our waters, you can feel confident traveling with us. Our vessel has indoor seating and outdoor covered seating space. You can walk all around on the deck. We offer a complimentary nonalcoholic beverage service, and light snacks. We have a washroom facility onboard. We look forward to meeting you and showing you the best wildlife viewing opportunities here in Ketchikan. Our vessel is Wheelchair accessible! Tour is usually 2 to 2.5 hours in duration Please understand we do not Guarantee Whales or offer refunds for not seeing them but we will try our best to keep our 90% sighting rate for this season going!!!

We were on a cruise all week, barely a sighting of a whale anywhere, so we weren’t sure it was really going to happen. We decided to give it one last try and booked a whale watching tour with Eagle One. Best decision we made all week. The guides Jesse and Steve were very informative, full of energy, and fun. They knew where to find the whales and we were able to get some great pictures. Overall, great experience.

What an awesome experience! The guides did a great job of making sure everyone saw lots of whale activity and explained what it was that we were seeing. The were friendly, communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the trip. Jesse even got us up close to view a mom and calf breaching multiple times! Definitely a highlight of my trip to Alaska!

Can't speak highly enough about Captain Jesse and the crew of the Eagle One. We rely on him to transport our mission team to and from Metlakatla every year and he is consistently reliable, professional and eager to please. He has an instinct for where we might see whales and goes out of his way to take detours to ensure passengers have the opportunity to view the wonderful sealife of Alaska. We have yet to be disappointed. He is very knowledgable about the area, the water and wildlife and always eager to please. Thanks Captain for always making our transport safe, interesting, efficient and lots of fun. Looking forward to next year!
