Our group of 8 from Georgia went whale watching with Captain Jesse and had a super time! We met on the dock in Ketchikan at 9:00 am, and loaded up. Right off the bat, when we met Jesse, you could tell we were in for a fun time! He was so enthusiastic and friendly! The weather was cool and slightly misty as we headed out, just as you would expect on an early October Alaska morning. You can watch from anywhere on the boat, inside in the warmth, or even sit next to Jesse as he drove. Refreshments were provided free, or we were told we could bring our own food. We saw many humpbacks and watched intently as they surfaced and flipped their huge tails in the air. We also saw bald eagles, otters, and other animals. If it wasn’t for the short window of time we were scheduled to be at the port, we would have loved to have spent more time with Jesse as he shared his vast ocean and wildlife experiences with us! All I can say is, go on the trip with Eagle One. It’ll be the highlight of your vacation!!!!

Incredible tour and Captain Jesse was the best! The meeting place was very easy to find and the tour itself was an experience of a lifetime. We were able to see humpbacks bubble feeding several times. Jesse was sure to meet the time needs of all of the passengers and was sure to get those on cruise ships back in time. I was in Ketchikan for the week, and enjoyed this tour so much, I took it twice! Don't miss out; book this tour!!

We enjoyed a very comfortable ride with Jessie and Melanie. We experienced great Ketchikan hospitality as Melanie served light refreshments, and Jessie shared his knowledge of the land and wildlife. We were lucky to follow a small pod of humpbacks. We were actually able to come quite close without upsetting the whales. We also spotted some bald eagles that Jessie tried to entice with some herring. Although, the eagles didn't budge, Jessie told us that they were most likely feasting on something better; perhaps salmon. Great time with great people! Art and Dee from Michigan.
