Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

The trip was lovely through beautiful areas. Sarah, our guide was well informed with regard to the area and to the wineries, and she provided a great perspective on the history as well.

Tom was prompt in picking up my party in a clean, comfortable Mercedes van. He was knowledgable about the areas that we were driving through while traveling to the wineries. We visited Durant, Erath and Four Graces, with each stop well timed and adequately paced. It was great to let someone else do the driving and I felt as if a half day tour gave us just the right amount of exposure to the wineries of the Willamette Valley. We enjoyed a nice spread of cheese, crackers, dried meats and fruits at our last winery that Tom had prepared for us. He made sure that everyone was comfortable and made sure that we all felt included in the activities. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about wines.

The first winery was wonderful Durant, they gave great info about their wines and tips on how to enjoy it. The next two wineries weren't expecting us so they were pretty much to serve the wine flight, but not explain the sine or give background on the winery.
