We were trying to book a tour with another company and nothing was working out for the only day we had to explore. We were sent to Russ. What an amazing tour guide. So knowledgable and flexible. We had so many adventures and even though it was raining and cold, we explored every moment that was presented to us. We saw Beluga whales, glaciers, iceburgs, amazing waterfalls, Bore waves and surfers riding them, animals at the wildlife conservatory, salmon as well as a tour of Anchorage. Lots of history of the earthquake of 1964. Amazing! Great lunch together then we ended the day at Chilkoot Charlie!!! Well worth the trip with this tour company. He does so many tours that he will fulfill lots on your bucket list. A couple checked off for me. Thanks Russ and his buddy in the shop!!

So glad I had the opportunity to experience it with you. Shhhh - remember, we were not suppose to tell anyone we went to Chilkoot Charlies. Thanks again for the wonderful review. I hope you get a chance to come back for another visit. Don't forget there are winter tours as well. Cheers,

The best way to plan your vacation in Alaska!!! Ross is the absolute expert in everything you want to do touristic or off the beaten track. I decided to go to Alaska last moment after a business trip in Vancouver, in the pick of tourist season (first 2 weeks of July), he organized my entire trip to perfection. I left Alaska with the best memories. Thank you Ross SK Switzerland

Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond to your note. What a pleasure it was to assist you with your Alaskan Experience. I do hope you get a chance to come back. Don't forget we have a great winter season. February is Fur Rendezvous - our winter celebration ending with the world famous Iditarod - 1,049 miles to nome by sled dog. We will be chasing the race by bush plane and there are opportunities to participate in countless events taking place in February and March. Sorry to commandeer your review with a commercial. Not my intent. I do look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, thank you for your kind words. Cheers,

I cant say enough good things about Anchorage Downtown TourGroup. We arrived in Anchorage 2 days prior to the start of our tour with Holland America and we had some time to kill so we went to the visitor's center to see what we could do. An employee of the visitor center advised us to go to the Downtown TourGroup to schedule a tour. We walked to it as it's not far from the Visitor's center. Upon arrival we met Russ Reno, and let me tell you....he made a lasting impression. He is passionate about his work and Alaska. After talking with him for a while, we were ready to sell everything we own and move to Alaska! Anyways, we booked a tour to Portage Glacier with a native Alaskan that Russ recommended and yes, it was well worth the money. Our tour was for the next day and not realizing how long we had spent there, we were ready to go after finalizing our transaction, when we stepped outside it's as if the sky was falling! A torrential downpour was upon us and yes, we weren't prepared. No jackets, No umbrellas! Russ was kind enough to lend us some umbrellas and told us to just return them to the tour guide the next day. WAY NICE! We thanked him and went on our way. When we arrived at the Embassy Suites where we were staying, which is a fair distance away from downtown, we went to the hotel bar to have cocktails when we turn around Russ is there! The other couple we were traveling with left their credit card at the tour office and Russ remembered where we were staying and took it to us! He saved us a big headache! He's a HERO in my book! If we are ever in Anchorage again I will definitely be looking ADTG up for our touring needs as well as saying hello to our new friend, Russ! I recommend everyone looking to see the sights in Anchorage to schedule their tours with Russ, he won't steer you wrong and you will make a new friend!
