After a week's cruise in the Inside Passage, I arrived at Anchorage from Seward via the Scenic Train. Wandered into an office of the Anchorage Downtown TourGroup and asked what they could suggest for my last day in town. I am a single traveller, and don't like large group tours. Russ Reno who advised me on what tour to book was great. He listened to heat I had experienced so far and found the right tour for me. An all day adventure in a small van with 5-6 other passengers. We visited several sites and finished with an hour long cruise to an inland glacier. I also liked Kevin our driver/guide. All the persons I dealt with were bright informative and efficient.

Seldovia was a breath of fresh air. A small fishing village with a big heart and some great fishing. In hills outside Homer I met some wonderful people. Then using the Marine Highway ferries to bounce down the coast to Vancouver Island gave me the opportunity to see the best of the Alaskan waterways. Thank you Anchorage Downtown TourGroup and Russ Reno for a wonderful experience.

Cheers Chris. Every-time I call the folks in Seldovia the first question they asks is about you. :-) Hope to see you back this direction someday.

I needed to find a tour that a single traveler could enjoy. The boys at Downtown Tour Group were able to arrange for me to join a group tour. I felt comfortable and included and did not need to worry about being alone. Excellent service and there was no additional charge for arranging my tour.
