Overview

Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

Dress code: Sturdy & Secure Footwear Required, no heeled shoes / flip flops / wimpy sandals, no dresses or skirts.
Weight Recommendations: 50 – 250 pounds.
We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

My husband surprised me with the zip lines at Fontanel. We had an absolute ball! Our guides Chris and Davey were amazing. They were knowledgeable, funny, great to work with and made the adventure more fun. I would highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys the outdoors with a thrill.

We spent a 4 day weekend in Nashville and did a lot of activities. This was voted the favorite thing we did by every one in the family. We had a tour for Saturday at 5pm. Even though it started a tiny bit late, it was no big deal. We got suited up and drove up to the zip lines. The two people working with us were great and kept us safe explaining everything we needed to know. They were also very considerate of my younger 14/13 year old daughters and helped them a lot. My wife is not a big thrill ride kind of person but even she loved this adventure. There were 8 zip lines we went on, some of them longer and steeper than others. It was a ton of fun. My only wish is that it lasted longer. I am a cheap person and this was worth every penny.

This zip line adventure was such a great time! Greg and Josh were our tour guides and helpers- they were EXCELLENT! Right from the start they made us feel comfortable about the experience. While they were sure we were safe while zip lining they also were a lot of fun and joked with us which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was so much fun I would do it again if I'm ever back in Nashville! Thanks again Greg & Josh for a great zip lining adventure!
