Overview

Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

Dress code: Sturdy & Secure Footwear Required, no heeled shoes / flip flops / wimpy sandals, no dresses or skirts.

We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

Our family of six had a blast! Some of us were very anxious, and others were ready for action from the beginning. All of us ended up having an amazing time!!! The guides were very helpful, and we felt safe the entire time - they always checked our gear and made sure we were ready each time we stepped off. So glad we went for it and checked this off of our list!!!

I’m visiting Nashville for a work conference and I’m so happy I did this ziplining activity. The staff members were so nice and helpful. They explained everything needed to have a SAFE and fun experience. I was solo but the family who was also doing the activity were super friendly and we all had a blast. The hike in between stations was not bad at all (I’m comparing to my previous zipline experience I did in Costa Rica). Oh, and they had a water station mid way which was convenient and well needed! A great experience overall and I highly recommend it!!

Trey and Drew were awesome tour guides!!! Love their enthusiasm, and drive!! The hiking to each zip line was challenging, for me, but I truly enjoyed the experience!!😊
