This is a nice zoo and laid out very well. We went early in the day and most of the animals were pretty active. The zoo was clean but there were a lot of areas under construction. Our main goal was to see the manatees and they did not disappoint!

Pens were poorly maintained, water for animals particularly nasty. What will it be like when the weather gets warmer? Not all animals had companions which are necessary for mental health especially the sun bear who looked distressed. Many exhibits empty; no big cats, no zebras. Considering the cost for admission at this zoo the Manager should be fired.
