Camping is easy, but cooperation is important. Don't worry if you've never camped before; many people haven't. You will be supplied with all the camping equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment. Everybody is expected to participate in setting up and breaking down the camp, and the professional guides are available to attend to your needs to ensure a positive camping experience. We camp at the best campsites, with hot showers and modern facilities. Swimming is available nearby. During booking, please note if you will need a sleeping bag
We use 4-person tents but only have two people in each. In the case of odd numbers in your party, there is a chance you will be paired with another person of the same gender from a different party.
You will be provided with the food, but not the chefs. You guys are the cooks, waiters, dishwashers and, of course, the guests. On leaving the city, we stop at a supermarket and buy everything we need. The fare is a mixture of chicken, beef and vegetarian, all-you-can-eat and very tasty. Most people eat better with us than they have done previously on their travels. Please inform us of any dietary requirements/concerns at the time of booking.
Tour operator uses comfortable 15-passenger vans with dual air-conditioning and stereo sound. Our vans are fueled by biodiesel, a vegetable oil-based diesel fuel, to promote green business. All of the vans have large roof racks for your luggage and the camping equipment.
On your journeys, you will need sneakers or hiking boots, shorts, T-shirts, swimwear, sun protection, a water bottle, flashlight and something warmer in case there is a change in weather.
June through September in Yosemite is hot and sunny with occasional afternoon showers. May and October days are warm with cooler nights. As with all mountain environments, weather can vary quickly, so a layer of warm clothing is a good idea.

I went on the 3 day camping trip guided by Mikayla, who was friendly, engaging and efficient and judged the 'tone' of the group well. The campsite was as comfortable and functional as a campsite can be (an extra shower would have been nice). Yosemite was spectacular - highlights were the walk to El Capitan and Sentinel Dome. If you can enjoy camping, don't have too much time, but want to immerse yourself in Yosemite, this is the perfect trip.

I really wanted to go to Yosemite but wasn't quite sure I knew how to do it so booked an organised tour with Incredible Adventures and so glad I did. It was really we organised - pick up in San Francisco was easy, the set up at the campsite was good and we had everything we needed. Our guide Mikayla was brilliant. She was really flexible about what we did and how long it took whilst ensure we saw so much of the park. Also, a brilliant driver. She was good at pitching activities at the right level for the group. There was a group of 10 of us of varying ages and experiences and we had a great time. A lot of laughter in bus and round the camp fire. It is camping and you are in a mini-bus for long periods but if you want to get a sense of Yosemite where some else has done all the planning would recommend this trip. Very glad I booked it - would do another trip with Incredible Adventures.

My husband and I did this 3 day (2 night camping) trip out to Yosemite with guide Kate. The trip was absolutely the highlight of our 4 week USA trip and a fantastic way to finish our time away. The camping trip is an excellent way of seeing the park and although there is still a fair bit of driving time it is balanced really well with outdoor time and hikes. On the first day we drove out to Yosemite, be prepared for around a 5 hr car trip, a hike and camp set up. The 2nd day was full of adventure and our guide Kate took us on some amazing hikes in the Yosemite valley and also in the Eastern Seirra's. (The guides will pick hikes to suite the fitness level of the group and how long they will take each group to do) we were incredibly lucky as there were only 6 guests in our group meaning we got through hikes relatively quickly and Kate choose some longer hikes so we could see more of Yosemite. The sunset hike on the 2nd day was absolutely my favorite and worth following Kate up a giant rock for! The 3rd day was free time in the valley followed by the return to SF. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yosemite for the first time on a bit of a time restraint. 3 days and 2 nights was a perfect amount.
