We purchased a two day ticket (which included a boat trip and a night bus tour) as we felt it would have been a good way to see this big city which has very limited public transport. Whilst the route itself is good the busses were dirty and in disrepair (many headphone jacks didn’t work). We had four separate guides over the two days and unfortunately the two we had for the longer journeys were hopeless and disrespectful to customers (and this is not a cheap activity). The worst thing was the fact that they didn’t have enough busses / oversold tickets which meant that many people were left waiting at stops and there was a lot of pushing to get on board. Given the busses only run every 40 minutes many people completely wasted their time. At the central terminus it was chaos - the bus timetables did not aline so we had to wait 40 mins to change from the city tour to the beach tour and we kept getting told to move queues - which again meant that some people were left behind. On a positive note - the boat trip, which is run by a separate company, was well organised and very worthwhile.

Robert was our tour guide and he did a great job. His knowledge of the architect of downtown Miami was very extensive. He told very interested stories about the history of Miami and I learned a lot of interesting facts. Earphones made hearing very easy. Beautiful day, wonderful tour.

First of all, the bus is never on time. You may wait 40 minutes between buses or 10 minutes. There isn’t really anyway to tell because the apps “real time” hardly ever works. We bought the package to where you get an additional day free along with the night tour and boat tour. I’d recommend buying the hop on hop off tickets if you solely want it for informational purposes. Don’t buy the tickets expecting that it’s a good way to explore the city logistically, because it isn’t efficient at all. You’d spend more time waiting at the bus stops than anything (time is valuable while on vacation). Our narrators were great! We did the night tour and beach loop tour (opted to skip the city day tour). If you do the night tour then it departs at central station and Senior Frogs. The one from Senior Frogs literally picks you up right in front of the restaurant. Overall, I’d recommend for the sole purpose of doing it as a tour and not a way of navigating through Miami. Lyft and Uber are fairly cheap and fast for going from place to place.
