The guys doing the commentary are knowledgeable, fun and interactive, but unfortunately the sound systems on the buses we travelled on was poor, with dreadful background white noise and the sound of a hundred horses running from the knackers yard, some of these buses need to be refurbed or retired, the wind from the microphones was shocking, is it really too much of an expense to put a muffler in them? After all people are paying money for a tour and we were passing so many things that looked interesting but we had no idea what was going on, the buses advertise free wi-fi, it’s very hit and miss. The buses as reported in other reviews are truly filthy, I know they aren’t going to be glistening, but my hands were filthy just from putting in my headphones (as reported I needn’t have worried getting my hands dirty). Bus schedules are not adhered to, even the 1st bus of the day was late, traffic I know, but are the paying passengers so unimportant to the company? People are on holiday but I personally hate sitting around 15/20 minutes waiting on a late bus.

The night bus tour with host Ivory and driver Mercedes was fantastic! Ivory has so much knowledge about Miami and its history. Favorite part of our Miami trip!

We bought this excursion during our cruise on board the ship as were departing from Fort Lauderdale in the evening and arriving Miami at 8am. There was an option to leave luggage at the central station, have time to explore Miami with Hop-on/hop-off big bus tour and after that transfer to the airport. We decided that this is what we want. At first good thing. Our driver German was very nice and helpful. Be careful with the luggage, as they store all big, small bags and everything else altogether in the truck. So if you have something valuable or fragile – you will have to carry that with you. Be careful in the Big Bus as you can be hit badly with tree branches. It is safer to seat on top on the left side. I would not recommend this trip to anybody. It is really better to choose one or two things what you want to see and explore and go for that. Beach or murals, Little Havana or shopping etc. Choose taxi, Uber or any other options to get there and see what you want. This bus is just wasting money and time.

We appreciate your review. We are sorry that you felt that it was a waste of your time and money. Some people do like to focus on one or 2 things and then an uber might be better. But for people who would like to get a lovely and informative overview of the city while storing their luggage and then getting a shuttle to the airport - this is a super deal. The cost of transportation to the airport alone can be anywhere from $30.00 to $100 depending on which airport time of day etc. Once again , thank you for riding and reviewing the Big Bus!
