We had limited time, and a newly sustained ankle injury. So, hopping on and off was a great deal. Buy your tickets online, and use the money you saved, to tip your favorite staff/drivers. The app was helpful for planning hop-back-on timing. It isn’t precise, but if you’re there 5 mins ahead of what it says, you’re good. There’s usually a food cart nearby, to get a snack while you wait. (There’s no food or drink onboard though, so plan for that.) And while I think the ‘Famous NY hot dogs’ or pretzels (or whatever food you might have heard you HAVE to try,) is completely hype, it is generally good food. Ear buds are provided to listen to a little hokey, but decent pre-recorded basic tourist info as we passed the various popular sightseeing attractions. Plenty of stops near the major attractions. Usually one of the buses came by every 15 mins to 1/2 hr. Most of the staff were nice, considerate and helpful, especially regarding my crutches situation. A few more direct or curt. But, our stand-out staff member was Kossivi Adjeyi. He was extremely kind and patient, not only with me, but I also saw him with a few other people who were being somewhat difficult.

We have done a lot of these Hop-On Hop-Off tours in many cities and this was by far the worst. Usually the tour is given in person by locals with lots of local flare but this was an impersonal audio recording with little information and the sound quality was terrible. I would recommend using the subway go to the spots you want to see or just walk. Big waste of money.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Although we do not have live guides on our daytime tours, we do offer this experience during our Sunset tour. Additionally, our team is always happy to answer any questions or offer local advice. We are disappointed to learn of your experience here at Big Bus Tours New York, but will take this opportunity to improve.

Very expensive for what you get. Did this February 2019 and was amazing. This year camr with my hubbie, the commentary is prerecorded which is not as informative as when i last did it. 2019 the tour guide talked you through the landmarks, personal knowledge, best places to eat and drink through personal experience. Very disappointed and if i had known would not have booked

If you are looking for a more intimate tour setting with a live guide, we highly recommend you experience our Sunset tour which operates from Thursday-Saturday.
