We took this cruise (from Pier 16) with our two under 5’s and in simple terms, we all thought it was great ! Putting aside the abrupt lady in the ticket booth at the end of the pier, we were lucky enough to walk straight onto a cruise (that was just leaving), the boat wasn’t too busy (so there were lots of spare seats) and the commentary was informative and useful. We got to see the coastline of Manhattan and Brooklyn, along with Ellis Island and some good views of the Statue of Liberty. The cruise was an hour - which was the perfect length with young kids - so we were very happy and would recommend...

This was a very nice boat ride that goes from midtown down to the statue of liberty. It provides nice views of the city and statue.

We did the Liberty Cruise as we wanted to get a bit closer the statue without having to spend lots of time on Liberty Island. We got what we paid for and so much more. The cruise goes down the Hudson river, so you get to see the fabulous NYC skyline from a unique perspective. What we didn’t expect was the commentary on board – so much useful information about the various landmarks that the cruise passes. Talking to a native New Yorker a few days after, he told us that he tries to do a Circle Line cruise every couple of years – mainly because of the commentary as he learns so much about his own city! We’ll do the Complete Manhattan Island Cruise next time we’re in NYC.
