  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each single passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
  • It is recommended that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
  • All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.
  • Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather.
  • Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat. We follow the same FAA regulations as the airlines.
  • Please contact Air Maui directly for your check in and departure time at least 72 hours prior to your flight!
  • Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
  • Helicopter is a shared cabin of 6 passengers and one pilot on each tour.
  • No bags allowed on board. This includes purses, fanny packs, backpacks, etc.

I am scared of heights and have never been on a helicopter but the pricing for two people made it impossible to pass on. The facilities on the outside are a huge contrast to the modern interior. The staff was very welcoming and always addressed my partner and I by name. After watching a painless security video we were asked if it was our first time. The staff walked us outside and took a photo of us in front of the helicopter. Once inside we were strapped in and our pilot Dylan was friendly and super calm. His tone and attitude reminded me of the sea turtle Crush from Finding Nemo. He had his own music playing throughout the flight in our headphones as he narrated at a few points. Originally I thought the soundtrack bit would have been distracting but it was perfect. The sights were breathtaking but that aside the staff and our pilot made it an easy experience. At the end our photos were on display and easy to purchase along with the whole flight which was recorded and loaded to a flash drive. I appreciated that this was mentioned and displayed at the end rather than product dumping in the beginning. The prices were very reasonable. Thank you all for making this experience one my partner and I will never forget.

We did this tour with our kids on recent trip to Maui, and are so glad we did. We had taken the road to Hana several days before and seeing that from the air along with the crater were just an amazing way to see the beautiful rain forests, cliffs, and volcano crater. Our pilot was very informative and made the trip so enjoyable. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. Strongly recommend this on your next trip to Maui.

We had a wonderful, smooth flight with some amazing views of Haleakala and the Maui rain forests and many waterfalls. Captain Kirk was a fun, experienced pilot who gave us a great ride, along with a lot of information on what we were seeing.
