  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each single passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
  • It is recommended that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
  • All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.
  • Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather.
  • Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat. We follow the same FAA regulations as the airlines.
  • Please contact Air Maui directly for your check in and departure time at least 72 hours prior to your flight!
  • Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
  • Helicopter is a shared cabin of 6 passengers and one pilot on each tour.
  • No bags allowed on board. This includes purses, fanny packs, backpacks, etc.

We took the 45-minute tour on May 4, 2018, but were unable to fly to the Haleakala Crater because of thick clouds. Even so, the tour was exceptional. Our pilot Kirk was great, entertaining, and added much to the trip. We purchased the video of our flight. The video is high quality with sound and shows the entire trip. We highly recommend it to preserve the memory. Bruce & Tina Nicholson, Dayton, Ohio

Went on the helicopter tour of Haleakala and Hana. Our pilot Ritchie was wonderful. He gave us a great description of everything we were flying over. I was really impressed too that he turned the helicopter so that everybody got to see the attraction ie, waterfalls or crater. Initially I thought that since I was on one side I might not see the sights but I was so pleased that he turned the helicopter so everyone got the same opportunity to see everything. I have never been in a helicopter before but he was such a great pilot he made it such a memorable experience. Have been to Maui a few times and have never done a helicopter tour but I would definitely recommend this. The view was beautiful and there are parts of Maui I would have never seen except this way. A worthwhile experience!!!!

Hard to review something accurately when it’s your first helicopter flight. But without any other to compare it to, we gave it 5 Stars. Felt safe the entire time. I was worried about motion sickness and was relieved that I felt fine the entire tour. Although if you are afraid of heights and turbulence, there is a bit of both. Cameron was our Pilot and was fantastic, not only as a pilot, but also as an informative tour guide pointing out and educating us of the island and sights. If this might be your only time ever doing this, especially in Hawaii, the front seats were worth it! TYPE IN ‘HELIPORT’ Into WAZE app to find the place. And pay the $5 self parking machine when you first arrive, they will ask to see it when you walk in. There’s a photo and USB video of your entire flight available for $50 cash at the end.
