It was cloudy all evening, and I contacted the company twice asking if the tour was still on, and they said yes as late as 30 minutes before it was scheduled to start. I was 30 mins away, drove all the way there to find out it was in fact canceled, and no one bothered to reached out. I drove an hour round-trip for nothing and they did not have the courtesy to let me know.

We are sorry that you had to drive to our observing site on a night when ultimately we had to cancel our tour.
Weather forecasting is imprecise and we alert our customers by text at least 3 hours in advance of a cancellation. Other times we do attempt the tour when we think we have a good chance of delivering a great experience. Sometimes it works out and sometimes not. It is simply the nature of our business.
We hope you will try again the next time you are in Sedona.
This customer did not mention that we refunded 100 percent of their payment immediately which is our policy for cancellations due to weather.
