Warm and friendly staff. Good food. Outstanding entertainment. We were about an hour late due to unexpected traffic. We could not get an Uber at the end of the evening and they were able to drop us off at our hotel on route to drop off guests in Waikiki.

Spent a fair amount to go to this “local luau”, stayed in Pūpūkea, and we came away enthralled by this performance! Great cultural demonstrations and participation. Hilarious MC! Wonderful food. But wait! The show was exceptional with wonderful costumes and energetic, happy dancers and menacing warriors! First luau on fifth or sixth visit! I embrace this great culture! Why’d we wait this long?

Our family of seven, ages 13-97 years old thoroughly enjoyed this engaging, educational, entertaining luau that was delivered in a very intimate setting. Our teenage sons enjoyed the interactive activities that demonstrated various aspects of Polynesian culture. Our 97 yo grandmother was enthralled by the authentic clothing and dancing and the sincerity of the performers. The host ensured that the 200 guests left feeling apart of ‘the family’. The spirits of aloha and ohana were genuinely demonstrated. EVERY person encountered during our 6 hour visit was helpful, kind, patient, considerate and delivered exceptional customer service. The food was delicious standard luau food and there was a lot of it. I recommend that you make this a part of a day trip to the North Shore, considering that the cost of the luau covers admission into Waimea Valley as well. The Toa Luau was the highlight of our 11 day Hawaiian vacation.
