you get great view from different angles of new yourk . we did at night it was beautiful and lit up new york. would definitely recommend.

Some things to think about. 1. Eat at local restaurants. You can always eat McDonalds when you get home. 2. Avoid ice skating at Rockefeller Center. It is expensive, rink is small, ice is terrible and they oversell the number of tickets so it is insanely crowded during holiday season. 3. Skate at Bryant Park. It is free if you bring your own skates. Or skate in Central Park, because CP rink is huge. 4. Use the subway & bus system. If you are staying for more than 2 days, buy the $34 unlimited use pass which expires in 7 days. But you need to buy a pass for each person as you cannot use it more than once at station within a certain period of time. 5. Rockefeller Center (Top of the Rock) has much better views than the Empire State Building, IMO. You also may want to consider paying the extra money for the Skylift. It is short but does get you above the crowd and a great view.
