Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

We were so fortunate to have Haley as our guide on the Lower Pigeon River. We opted for a nice family float with smaller rapids because it was all of ours first exerience rafting white water and especially due to the age of our youngest girls (5 & 7). Haley was absolutely great with the girls and said she had been a Nanny for a few years prior to guiding. It showed. She made the girls experience great. The only negative I have for the company is if you set a time and say that you don't need to be early, please keep to the schedule. ( We missed the Sallon Show at Dixie Stampede, partially due to traffic in PF) Trip set for 12:30 and we were just beginning orientation at 1:15 and on the river at around 2 or so. The raft trip was great, the staff was friendly and its a memory we will always cherish.

We had a great time taking our 8 year old WW rafting for the first time over the holiday weekend. Although it was a very busy day on the river (they set a new company record that day), it was still organized and efficient. Our guide Miles did a great job with the group safety talk, making it memorable enough that we would actually remember. This was our daughter's first time on white water, but Miles kept her safe in the back with him and let us enjoy the ride. Now she's been there, done that, AND got a cool t-shirt. This was our second trip with Big Creek, and we'll be back again! I would highly recommend them to anyone going down the Pigeon River.

Our family of 12, only 4 of us had white watered before. Our ages are from 56 to 10. We were split into 2 rafts. Our guides were suited perfect for our 2groups. Group 1 , all type A personalities had the guide named "Z". She was a rock star. Group 2 we are more laid back but intense our guide his name was " hippie" he was like the lead guide. I was very nervous with my 10 year old sons on the river, but Rick (hippie) made sure he/we were safe but had a great experience . I called a different out fit first and did not like the answers to my questions. I called Big Creek Exp. And they had all the right answers. I would certainly recommend them again..thanks for the great ride.
