Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

We had a fun time with guide Chris on the upper Pigeon River. This was our 1st time rafting and we took our 11 yr old twins along. Class 4 rapids was as treacherous as it got and it seemed quite safe. Bring water shoes or they sell them for a reasonable $14. Was a little bit of a strain for my 44 yr old lower back but nothing that lasted beyond the trip. You will get wet and the water is chilly!

What a great experience. Randal was our guide, he was awesome!! We did the long ride. The water was cold and be prepared to get wet but it is so much fun that it doesn't even bother you. The trip is relaxing and exhilarating both at the same time. Pigeon River is beautiful. Randal knows a lot of the history and shares with you. He knows exactly how and when to alter the raft for speed and direction. the picture they take are great too! Very sharp and captures the excitement. Really had a GREAT TIME and look forward to returning over the summer.

We had a family reunion( ages range from 11- 68) in June and this was one of our family outings. 4 out of 11 of us have been of white water rafting before. This river is a great one to be your first. It was enough excitement to make you want to do more. I don't know how to swim so at first I was thinking the experience was going to be how the movies show white water rafting. There was a child who didn't swim either and the 68 y/o had back issues, we all came out fine without any troubles. I can only talk about my tour guide Jen, not the other guide (we had to split our group up since it was large). Jen was cool, relaxed, and still aware of her surroundings while talking to us. She gave us little tidbits of info of the area while answering our questions. Found out she is from Chicago like me, so we chatted about that. I gave this 4 star instead of 5 because a few of us would have liked a couple more rapids.
