6-godzinna prywatna wycieczka po Montgomery dotycząca praw obywatelskich

Przegląd
This tour will take us to some of the most important sites that defined the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama. Our journey will take us on a definitive and emotional story of the civil rights era that changed the fabric of American life and sparked a movement. From the pulpit where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached to the spot where Mrs. Rosa Parks refuse to give up her seat on a Montgomery City bus. Afterwards, we'll continue on to the Civil Rights Memorial center and many other sites related to the Civil Rights movement. It's been said that those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

Narodowe Pomnik Pokoju i Sprawiedliwości
National Memorial for Peace and Justice powstał z nadzieją na stworzenie trzeźwego, znaczącego miejsca, w którym ludzie będą mogli gromadzić się i zastanawiać nad historią nierówności rasowych w Ameryce.

National Memorial for Peace and Justice
The National Memorial for Peace and Justice was conceived with the hope of creating a sober, meaningful site where people can gather and reflect on America's history of racial inequality. Set on a six-acre site, the memorial uses sculpture, art, and design to contextualize racial terror. The national memorial is a sacred space for truth-telling and reflection about racial terror in America and its legacy.

We did a half day tour with Jake. It was truly outstanding. Jake is passionate and knowledgeable about Montgomery as someone who grew up in Montgomery, has ancestors who were slaves and served in the state legislature and Marched for civil rights when he was only 12. He is great at sharing history in an engaging way and is eager to answer questions. We did this tour on our first morning and then returned to a number of places he showed us on our tour — both related to civil rights and parks and restaurants. We highly recommend and are grateful we found this tour on Trip Advisor. We all learned a lot of new things from Jake. Thanks Jake!!!!

Jake is prompt, pleasant, and professional. He knows Montgomery history and is well versed in all things civil rights. He drove us from Montgomery to Selma filling in all the details of the March, the camp sites, and even his own participation as a young boy. Book him!

We so enjoyed our tour with Jake. It cannot go unstated that any civil rights tour is an emotional experience. To have Jake as our guide, his life experience a timeline of the Jim Crow south and the strident beginnings of the modern civil rights period carrying his tour dialogue was impactful beyond measure. We were spellbound at his impeccable memory of those times, as well as the emotional impact of being in the presence of his living in it. He has the assured blend of facts and personal experience throughout the tour and a capacity for finding the good in it, too. Not to mention, he has a pleasant lightness of humor in the modern changes we all find baffling at times! Thank you Jake; your contribution to our learning more of this country’s history will not be forgotten!
