Book this tour! We booked this tour based on what another person staying at our hotel told us. She promised we would not be disappointed. She was so right! It was a fantastic experience. Michael knew where to go, and would have us outside as soon as he saw activity was about to start, and then when there was a lull have us go back inside his comfortable RV. He even had some snacks out for us. He would then continue to monitor activity and tell us when to hurry and get outside and where to look to take pictures as well as taking them himself of our group. He did such a good job that one of the persons on our tour asked if there could be a group picture, even though we didn’t know each other before. Michael was willing to stay as late as we wanted to stay. He told us that it would be a night of good activity and he was so right. If I had been in Fairbanks more days, I would’ve booked again in a heartbeat. I didn’t plan to spend the money on a tour, but it was worth every single penny. if you can afford it, book the tour.

Dress for warm weather and a very late night into the wee hours of the morning. Michael was our guide and he was amazing! He even had snacks for us when we were waiting for the aurora to get brighter.

We were lucky to see colorful Aurora Borealis despite the cloudy weather. After relocating and waiting, the beautiful aurora finally appeared! The guide was patient and professional, providing clear instructions on camera setup. The photos the guide took for us were absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend this tour!
