Austin Live Music Crawl 4/5/19 We had a great time! There were about 9-10 on the bus. My friend & I took an uber ($5) from local hotel so we didn't have to worry about parking. GUIDE: Steve was really fun, and we learned a lot about the Austin music scene on the drive between venues. VENUE 1: Our first stop was really unique; an underground bar with funky music. The music wasn't quite my taste (Mike The Headless Chicken), but the atmosphere was great and the crowd made it fun. VENUE 2: My friend loves country and this band was great. Lots of people out on the floor doing the 2-Step and having a great time. VENUE 3: This was a tucked away bar with a jazz band that was great! This stop was my favorite. The musicians and lead singer were fantastic. And people were dancing and having a fun time. All in all, it was a great way to see a variety of music venues in Austin, and have a few drinks without having to drive!

My partner and I took the live music tour hours after our plane landed. Our guide was Sunny Fairly, a charming local musician with a thick Texas drawl. He made the evening fun and educational, spinning yarns about Austin and the life of a musician. It was not only fun for us, but it was obvious that Sunny was having a good time, too, not just filling in his shift. We went to three different venues, each excellent. We could, and did, order drinks, and we stayed for four or five numbers at each place.. Our final stop was at The WhiteHorse, a genuine honky tonk, where The Saddle sores were playing, and couples were doing the Texas two step on the dance floor. Definitely the best tour of the entire weekend!

We had sooo much fun on our private Live Music Crawl! Our guide Ike was both funny and informative throughout the night. It was great to have tables waiting for you at the venues, and not to have to think about any of the logistics. All of the places we went to were unique and brought out a different piece of the Austin music scene. It was a great way to see a variety of shows on our short trip to Austin. The bachelorette loved it and so did everyone in the group!
