All of our guides have individual and unique ties to the Amish community and have always enjoyed showing off the “true” Lancaster County. This rich, immersive experience is personally designed to give you a rare window into the authentic Amish culture. Every meal is an amazing experience!

* Please note this tour is not confirmed until we secure an Amish Family host.
* The PA Department of Agriculture requires us to inform you in advance that these meals are prepared in private homes, which are not licensed or inspected.

We were taken to the home of Ivan and Sylvia for a delicious home cooked meal, Amish style. The food, atmosphere and conversation were all equally awesome. To be able to sit in someone's home from such a unique culture was an incredible learning experience. The service provided by LoKal was also impressive. When we arrived at the meeting point Mike was there waiting. The van ride to the Amish home was comfortable and informative. Mike, having been raised in the vicinity, knew alot about the area. He gave us some interesting history lessons and other travel suggestions on the way. If you want to experience Lancaster County, this MUST be on your to-do list.

Having been to many of the sites, restaurants, theaters and shops over the years this tour and sit down lunch with a lovely Amish family was a fantastic addition to our visit to the Lancaster area. Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable having grown up in Strasburg, PA himself and most accommodating. The highlight for us was visiting the Amish family in their home. Sarah was most hospitable, her food was so good comprised of homegrown vegetables, fruits, breads, entrees, dessert! Due to heavy rain we stayed inside for a while and Sarah entertained us by playing her harmonic then singing (she has a beautiful voice) with two of her lovely children and offering us a sing a long. Truly a warm welcome from someone we are so glad to have met. I highly recommend this tour and thank Phil and Mike for coming up with the idea. And a big thank you to Sarah and her children for the gracious welcome she gave us.

Wonderful experience! Phil served as an awesome tour guide, gladly answering our many questions along the way! Lunch with our Amish host was a real treat! The only thing that surpassed the delicious food was the lovely conversation with our host, tour guide and fellow guest! A trip to Amish country has been been on my mother's "bucket list" for years - this experience made it even more memorable! Best of luck in your future endeavors, Phil!
