We decided to do a tour with Tasting Kauai one day when it was very windy and our snorkel tour was cancelled. There were 7 of us on the tour. We started at Gopal’s Creperie, which was amazing! The owner took the time to make us two different crepes (one savory, one sweet) and ice cream as well as kambucha. She also took the time to tell us about how she came to start a food truck, and the sourcing of the ingredients she uses. We then went to a shave ice truck, which was also delicious. We went to Verde Restaurant, where the Chef again took time to prepare us some special dishes and talked to us about his story and ingredients he uses. One thing about the tour- since there are a couple food trucks, we sat outside quite a bit of the time. Bring an umbrella if it looks like rain. We all drove in our own vehicles to the restaurants, and the tour we did was near our hotel. There was another couple who had done a tour with Tasting Kauai on the south side of the island near their hotel the day before and enjoyed it so much that they booked this tour as well. I wish we had taken the tour near the beginning of our time on Kauai instead of at the end, as I would definitely have gone back to all of these places to eat again if we had the time!

Tasting Kauai Food Tour was great! There was a variety of stops with different foods to taste and enjoy! Michelle was a wonderful guide who shared her knowledge with us in fun and interesting ways! We would definitely recommend the tour. And we will do another of the tours in the future!

Our last full day in Kauai was spent stuffing our faces with wonderful foods. This tour will give you a great look into Kauai's food scene. You won't be disappointed. The portions are a very good size. Let's just say you won't go home hungry. Don't miss this tour if you love food!
