We had a great bus ride with Chicago Big Bus. Seating is sufficient, and the guides are also very good, especially our tour guide Bungi, which made the ride really enjoyable with her knowledge about the city and her very personal and positive attitude.

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and decided to try this tour bus for the first time. It gave a good overview of the most popular tourist sites and the drivers and tour guides were very friendly. The price was high to me but it was nice to be able to jump off at any stop and catch another bus anytime since they come by so frequently. We were there on a particularly busy and hot day, so the busses were overfilled. The information provided was interesting but I questioned some of the legitimacy of it. All in all, it worked for us due to our limited time on this trip.

We visited Chicago for a fun long weekend. We decided to purchase two day hop on hop off tickets with the Big Bus company as opposed to the other Trolley company option. Comments led us to believe that this outfit came by more frequently. I have to say that their schedule was sufficient, but I saw twice as many Trolley buses coming by. Overall we had a pretty good experience. We jumped off and on many times over the two days and the narrators and drivers were all pretty good... with one exception. We were waiting to be picked up where we were dropped off at stop 14. We had been waiting about 15 minutes next to the Big Bus cart where they sell tickets and where we were dropped off. We saw a bus go past us and turn left down the next street. As they let passengers off, we hustled to cross the street twice to make it to the door of the bus just as he closed it. I knocked on the door and he just sat there and looked at us. He then motioned for us to step back and proceeded to drive away. I couldn't believe it! This is an unacceptable way to treat customers. I tried to call customer service to report him but was unable to get a hold of anyone. In addition to this, I it was 97 degrees that day and at least two of the buses that were running had no air conditioning and no available seats on the top deck. People were stacking up at stops waiting for the next bus to come that may or may not have air. I read reviews about them not having air and assumed it was just an isolated incident. This experience made me think that they must not care about maintaining the buses. If we come back to Chicago, we will NOT buy a ticket on the Big Bus

Alice M It's great to hear that you had a great time on our service, but it's terrible to hear that it was ruined near the end. That's and anomaly that one driver would drop you off at a certain location, another dropping off at another location. We have two *potential* drop off points at Stop 14, it is all determined by the activity of the area. The McDonald's at Stop 14 has been undergoing construction for some time; as has their portion of the road on Clark Street (where we pick up). It could have been possible that Clark Street was available for a while, and then closed later on in the day.
