We were visiting for a wedding and decided to take a tour. Got a great deal on Groupon so thought we’d give it a try. We started with the red line , young guy from Chicago was our guide on this one. He was super knowledgeable. And really learned a lot. Got off and explored a little and the getting off and back on was really easy. Mid day we transferred to the blue line. This was the downfall of the trip. The tour guide would tell you things after the fact where the young guide made sure you knew before you got to the site so you could see it. We sat in the very front in this bus and it scared the hell out of us. The driver many red lights after they have been red for a while. He drove over many curbs and side walks. At one point he made such a sharp left turn the girls in the seat beside of us flew into the isle. Also the blue line had issues with the audio, it was like there was a short in the box that the headphones plugged into.

The Big Bus in LA is new entrant. The city tour is dominated by Starline Tours. But Big bus also did fair job but the buses are not equipped with wifi even if that is advertised, so that's a downside. Driver and Guides are super friendly.

Even though the company had only been going for a few months in LA the staff were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. We done the 2 day tour and if you book on line you get cheaper so we mentioned this and got it discounted even though we hadn’t gone though the internet. We were able to hop on and off and didn’t have to wait long for a bus longest , wait was at change over on red to blue route. Great to have people to talk to and ask questions more than just listening to a recording
