I am used to the high prices of food and drink there. Not worth it, but I planned ahead so as not to get too much food. The thing I found most disappointing was that when I asked which roller coasters were closed prior to purchasing the Quick Que Unlimited for 5 children, I was told none of them were closed. At that time I said to the agent on the phone, "Well, I know that is not correct because Kumba is closed currently for an issue with a sink hole" and her response was that she shows everything else is open. On arrival with 5 children and 5 Quick Ques, these are the rides that were open and closed: Open - Montu, Iron Gwazi, Phoenix Rising, Cheetah Hunt, Falcon Fury (Falcons Fury was closed for half the day, but then opened later). These are the ones closed - Shiekra, Kumba, Cobra's Curse, Tigris, Stanley Fume, Congo River Rapid. Needless to say, my daughter who is less than 54'' could only go on Cheetah Hunt (45 min wait with a Quick Que) and Phoenix Rising once (since you are only allowed one time on the newest rides). We could not us it at Air Grover. That was a waste of $60.00. The other kids did get to go on 4 rides (only once allowed on Iron Gwazi and Phoenix Rising, and no one wanted to wait 45 minutes for Cheetah Hunt). Was that worth an extra $60 each on top of admission ticket? Not really. Especially hard not to be resentful since I had asked the Agent directly and she had lied about ride closures.
Other things I didn't like but tried to overlook: Trams not working back and forth to all the parking lots - quite a walk. Understaffing - waited 40 min to get into the park, another 40 min in customer service line to get my monthly rewards voucher, and only one car running on Montu making the lines again incredibly long. Also not being allowed to wait in line for my daughter at the Sesame Street Lines so she could play around and then go on a ride after a very long wait. If I am waiting the 20 min for a spot on the bounce area, why is she not able then to use the spot because she is running around the tunnels with my husband while waiting? Clearly, I am not using the spot I waited for; I am too big to even enter the area. Thank goodness all the parents behind me all spoke up and said it was fair for her to go since I had clearly waited for 20 minutes.
