You’ll paddle along mangroves, enjoy white sand beaches and sandbars, and explore a secluded beach. If the tide is high, your guide will lead the way through a hidden mangrove tunnel. Shell Key Preserve is located in Tierra Verde, FL near St. Pete Beach in the Tampa Bay area.

Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, manatees, pelicans, crabs, and more while enjoying the preserve’s picturesque mangroves, beaches, and sandbars. Be on the lookout for a manatee or the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbills in the summer months. White Pelicans call the sandbars of Shell Key Preserve their home during the winter months! Throughout the year, dolphins frolic in the crystal-clear waters and cormorants love to swim alongside your kayak. Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

My husband and I had the most amazing kayaking trip with Chris near St. Petersburg, FL. From the moment we launched our clear kayaks, we were blown away by the beauty of the area. The crystal-clear water gave us a perfect view of the vibrant marine life below—it's like paddling through an aquarium! Chris was a fantastic guide, sharing so much knowledge about the local ecosystem and pointing out fascinating details we would have missed otherwise. Paddling through the mangroves and exploring the secluded beach was the highlight of the trip. We also enjoyed the peaceful, almost surreal experience of gliding over the shallow waters near Shell Key Preserve. If you're looking for a memorable outdoor adventure with an expert guide, this trip is a must!

Chris was so very awesome. It was fun, relaxing, refreshing, and all around just a great experience. I got to enjoy it with my family and best friend zander zaroff which made it even better
