This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

When visiting new cities we always look for the "different" tours that really give you insight into the local life, as well as getting an overview so we know what we want to go back to in a short trip. Well, Reed is your man if that's what you like too! Communication was great from the start and he will customize the tour to your liking. In 3 hours bombing around the city in the awesome Mini we got an incredible history lesson from Reed, and were able to go many places a normal "canned" tour could never get to. He uses a headset that plays through the car speakers so sitting in the back with the wind blowing we were still able to hear him loud and clear. His knowledge of the city, it's history, and it's people are really quite amazing and you can tell he has a real passion for it. After our tour we were making plans for a wine country day and emailed Reed that night for some advice/recommendations. Not only did he make a recommendation, he called the company to ask some specific questions for us, and then emailed us the details. Now that's top notch service! We highly recommend an adventure with Reed......you will not be disappointed!
