My friends and I went on this tour a couple Fridays ago. We were about 10 minutes late to check-in time due to the poor directions and our iphones not pulling up the exact location. We tried to call, but there is no service on the drive over. When we arrived, we went to every check-in table (as there were multiple companies and even multiple tables for the same company). No one was at either of the FL Adventurer Tables. Someone at one of the other company tours told us "they are probably just running late coming back, just go wait at the table they should be back any minute". We waited, and waited and no one showed up (which is ridiculous when you're asked to show up 30 minutes early). One in our party walked around til she had ONE tiny bar of service and called in to the main phone number where she apparently received the owner. Her entire call was on speaker phone, so we all heard the entire conversation (there were 4 of us in our group, and others around heard as well). The man answered very unprofessionally and sounded high, and like he could not comprehend what was being said to them. He then proceed to speak to her rudely by starting off with "Well you were f***ing late so what do you expect me to do?". She, baffled looks at the rest of us and goes "did he just say f****** when speaking to me?" He then thought she was talking to him and accused her of being belligerent and cursing him. She tried her best to annunciate to him the issue and explain the situation and ask for a resolution but he was so rude. He then said "well I guess I have room in the 11PM". She asked him to hold on while she talked to the rest of un in the party, to which one of us said "I'm not even sure I want to freaking go anymore if this is the behavior of the staff". He then started screaming at her again for cursing and would not listen to her when she tried to explain she asked him to hold so she could discuss if everyone wanted to wait over an hour. She advised that we paid $55 a person to rent kayaks and that they need to have someone here to take us on the tour or provide us kayaks. He then accused her of trying to steal his kayaks, which was not the case. Her boyfriend took the phone from her and told the man there was no reason to speak to us that way, and asked if we were booked for 11PM or not because we all agreed to wait. We informed we would be leaving a bad review no matter how good the tour was because of his severe unprofessionalism. We did enjoy the tour, but for the cost we definitely could have rented kayaks without a tour guide and enjoyed the bioluminescence and night kayaking a lot more. Most of the tour was just sitting around or just floating with the current and we didn't go very far at all, just a small circle. The tour guide we ended up with was very sweet, her name was Bonnie, we sincerely feel for Bonnie for having to work for such a rude, and unprofessional boss. We were going to just have one of us leave the bad review, but we saw the owner's response to Ashley's original review and decided since there were four of us, we might as well each leave a review. In reality, we should get a refund for how unprofessional he was and the fact that we had to wait well over an hour. Oh and to top it off, he said "we don't wait for anyone that's late, if you're not there by orientation you can't go". We arrived like I said, 10 minutes late for our 10PM Launch time (meaning we arrived at 9:40PM). When we were waiting for the 11PM launch time, orientation had already started (was nearly over), and our tour guide waited on people who were late giving them extra time, some of our party did not even check-in to orientation until 11PM, and we did not launch until after 11PM, yet the 10PM tour went without us. It's just absolutely unacceptable. Do Better FL Adventurer!

You're a good friend. Your rude friend doesn't deserve such a person who would outright lie for her. You can refer back to my response to your friend. She/you were all late, as is obvious by the fact your tour left without you🤷🏽‍♂️.. Anything more is to entertain this non-sense.. When you arrive at 9:55 and no one, not even guest are there.. Maybe we left to keep the guests who did arrive in time happy.. We will not be cussed at, threatened to have our kayaks commandeered by anyone or there will be legal issues for anyone involved. No one ever cussed at your party, quite the contrary. You man friend, as I said earlier in the previous 1 star review, is the only reason your group went out... You should thank him again.. Thank you for paddling w/us! 😊

Josiah and Josh guided us around the islands while the water glowed. Mullet streaked through the water causing more illumination. The clear kayaks allowed me to see the bioluminescence well. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. It was a windy evening so there didn’t seem to be any mosquitoes and the tops of the waves glowed as well.

We took the Thursday 9pm bio-luminescent kayaking tour with Bonnie a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the group together. If you’re up for some adventure (mosquitos, paddling/driving in the dark, and the occasional wild-life sighting) then you don’t want to miss this tour! Thank you Bonnie and Florida Adventurer!
