The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

I used asheville adventure company for a rafting excursion for a large group of people and could not recommend them enough. Easy booking, clear communication, and so close to downtown. The guides were great and clearly knew what they were doing. We will book with them again

We had so much fun on our rafting trip. Gage was our tour guide and did an excellent job! We even got to do more difficult parts of the rapids and he guided us perfectly down the river. Would love to book with this company on our next trip to Asheville!

Gage is a wonderful rafting guide! He ensured we were well prepared for the upcoming rapids and drops. The route was gorgeous. The adventure was fun and relaxing. I will also say that I went with my mom who has issues with her knees. The team was awesome at accommodating her so she could check this bucket item off her list. We both had an excellent time. Highly recommend!!!
