The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

Would definitely recommend checking them out! We booked a white water rafting trip as part of a bachelorette party for nine attendees. Everyone from AAC was friendly and professional. It was 45 minutes to the river, as stated, but it went by really quickly, with the guides in our van recommending different things to do/see in the Asheville area. The guide on my raft (Gabe) was newer to the area, but he was really engaged with us on the river and was quick to talk about his previous rafting experience in Colorado.

The guide was more than excellent, very responsible and always a Leader and checking all of the boats and people under his charge. As a Leader. We had a wonderful time and experience.
