This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

We had an amazing experience! Grandchildren were a little nervous but within 2 minutes on the raft they were smiling and giggling…they even participated in the cliff jumping (kid sized, of course) about halfway through! Our guide, Olivia, was awesome! She shared cool information about the area, encouraged us, and made us laugh. The whole crew was fantastic, from the office staff to the bus driver. 10/10 recommend this to families with young children. We will be back!

Took my family (two adults and kids ages 14 and 11) on the half day float with class 1 and 2 rapids. There was another family in the boat with a 3 and 7 year old. I was surprised by the size of the rapids but there weren’t many and we all paddled through them. We’ve only done floats before and this was a nice “thrill” for us based on what we’ve been accustomed to. Your shoes get soaking wet and I’d reco Wearing a bathing suit and bringing dry clothes to change into. Our one hour drive back in cold wet clothes was not fun! The guides were great and kept the bus ride entertaining. Kayla was newer to the role but we couldn’t tell and felt comfortable with her guidance and direction. There were really only small sections of rapids which was the right amount for us and we got to watch some other boat passengers jump off the cliff (too cold for us and we didn’t wear swim suits). My only thing to note is this does specify it’s in Kremmling. I searched things to do in Breckinridge and this came up. It’s an hour drive away which I didn’t realize till the night before, but that’s on me for not planning more in advance. We had a great time and I’d highly recommend Kayla as a guide if you get to choose!

We did the cliff jumping and our teenage kids loved it! The float was easy for all ages and guides were amazing!
