Frieda’s tour was amazing so personal, insightful, and so interesting. She puts so much of herself into this tour, and the personal touch makes it so special. You get to really experience and learn the Hasidic way of life, it’s culture and values, whilst showing ultimately respect for the culture and people. She’s an amazing lady whose honesty and willingness to share her story made it the best couple of hours I’ve spent in New York in a long time! Next time I’m in New York I’m definitely doing her other tour! Thank you so much Frieda ♥️

Our tour was amazing. Even though it was rainy outside, none of us even knew we were wet because Frieda held our attention. We were a group of four and were all amazed at how much we learned. The refrain from our group was "I didn't know that." Frieda educates in a sensitive way showing respect for the Satmar community and a willingness to answer difficult questions. The presentation is one of depth and nuance rather than a cardboard presentation. I will take this tour again and so will everyone in my group. We all loved it. It was a glimpse into a world we'll never really know and one which I would like to understand.

Frieda's Brooklyn Walking Tour was just everything I'd hoped it would be! I had tried on several occasions through the year to find time to book a date, and sure enough...right before Chanukah ( The beautiful Jewish Festival of Lights), I was able to get on board. It was even more special seeing the community in preparation for this special holiday. Being once a part of the Satmar sect, Freida gives you personal insight into all the questions you really want to know. So much was a discovery....an answer to why this...or why that...and only through her own eyes could you understand the traditions. And there is even so much more to know. Once she has shared her story and walked you through her past world, I could not wait to read more! She provided us with a reading and viewing list that I was fascinated. I can't wait to recommend this tour to all my friends and family, living in the New York area and definitely abroad. I was sorry it was over....it was THAT GOOD! Thank you so much Frieda...you are a GEM.
