For a fun kayaking Kauai activity, paddle tandem kayaks along the Hule'ia River and travel deep into the heart of the Kauai island jungle. Kauai hiking, a 3/4-mile (1.2km) trek up the valley to an enchanting area of waterfalls and swimming holes. We had a great time on the kayaks! Michael was an excellent guide, knowledgeable with a few good stories along the way. The hike was easy with lots to see on the trail, and a nice swim (the rope swing!) was refreshing. While there are bigger falls on island, the small ones are lovely to see. We have kayaked the Wailua River, and remember the head wind on the way back, so the motorized ride was welcomed by the whole group. Yummy cookies, too!

Aloha jkiel, Mahalo for your excellent review. Michael is 5 Star all the way. I agree with you, all waterfalls have beauty and their own character. The rope swing is always a blast. The boat ride back is the cherry on top. It's what makes it a tour for almost anyone. Hope we see you again :)

The guide was great. The hidden falls were extremely under whelming. Not worth the time, effort or money to get there. Skip this one.

Aloha Thomas P, I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy the Hidden Falls. I do appreciate and thank you for your kind words about your guide. They work very hard. Hidden Falls is a very easy and gentle tour designed for families and people of all ages. The highlight for many is the one way paddle with a motorboat ride back. If you want the tall "Hollywood" waterfall, you need to come back and try the Wailua River kayak tour to Uluwehi Falls (aka Secret Falls). It's much more strenuous with no boat ride home but the payoff is the bigger waterfall. Mahalo.
