Hoonah Whale Tours is a family owned whale watching company that operates out of Hoonah, AK. When taking this tour you will be on a private 6 passenger boat tour that goes out into Icy Strait. During the tour will you get the chance to see all sorts of Southeast Alaska wildlife, including bald eagles, sea lions, sea otters, sometimes brown bear and orcas and of course humpback whales! Our tours last between 3 and 3.5 hours and we guarantee you'll see whales or you money back. The boat is a 6 passenger catamaran, with a walk around deck, heated cabin, and a bathroom on board. We also provide snacks and beverages.

When out on our whale watching tour you will be in Icy Strait (body of water) You will get to see humpback whales (guaranteed!), sea lion, sea otter, and bald eagles. You even have the chance of seeing brown bear along the beaches, orcas and puffins flying by.

Family run business and reasonably priced compared to other tours. We saw quite a few humpback whales on our tour and the owners were real nice. Another positive is since the boat is smaller, theres less people in your way to get those great videos and pictures

Having been collected by Mariah and driven just a few minutes down the road we jumped aboard Jordan's vessel. A perfect size with just 6 passengers making the trip very personable. It was a gorgeous day and the sea offered a great spectacle, Orcas, Humpback Whales, Sea Otters, Harbour Seal and the fun loving Sea Lions who enjoyed watching us. A great time, which passed so quickly and on our return to harbour we had a fly by from the local Bald Eagle. Truly spectacular with weather to match, we were so blessed. Thank you

Amazing tour!! Jordan made it very personable . Very knowledgeable.We saw humpbacks as well as sea lions . Not to mention that homemade muffins and hot chocolate that was on the boat for us was Amazing as well. Thank you again! I can’t wait to be back
