Private Scuba Diving is REQUIRED when your group has a novice swimmer. Look for our private tour in a separate listing.

If your swimming ability is misrepresented, it will lead to removal from this beginner scuba dive and NO REFUND.

Public transportation options are available nearby
Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10.
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
Guests MUST be comfortable swimming in the ocean to complete this scuba diving tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IN THE OCEAN IS REQUIRED. This means that you must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.

Our family had an amazing time! This was our first dive and my husband didn't think he could dive because of his ears and Kevin very cautiously and safely got him down to around 30'. We all loved it so much we sent the guys back out for a second dive. We would absolutely join Kevin again on more dives. We all now want to get certified!

What a wonderful experience, company, and instructor (we had Abby)! My wife and I really wanted to go scuba diving but neither of us are very proficient at it, so we were both kind of nervous. We both took lessons years ago and haven't done it since. We scheduled a dive and met Abby at Airport Beach. Abby was awesome and so personable. She took her time and very clearly explained to us all of the safety functions of the equipment that when we finally got into the water my wife and I felt incredibly comfortable with everything. Our dive was 45 minutes and when we got out we enjoyed ourselves so much we went on another dive. Abby then took us to Mala (as Abby told us it was an old pier that was significantly damaged in a previous hurricane that has since become an artificial reef) Mala was incredible! There were so many turtles and even a few white tipped reef sharks. Both dives were amazing and Abby got so many great photos. I couldn't recommend a better dive company! We were both very pleased with everything and will certainly be coming back to Banyan Tree Divers on our next visit to Maui!

Wowza! My experience today was everything you could hope for. So my husband really wanted to go diving, he learned in college and wanted to dive in Hawaii. I have gone diving about 2x in Hawaii before and still never fully felt comfortable with diving. I also never had an amazing experience in the locations that I dived in before. UNTIL TODAY! Our instructor was Abby and I swear that having her made ALL the difference. She was so clear and calm and listened to all my crazy anxieties and did everything possible to reassure me and make me feel completely comfortable. She new her stuff! She was also just a straight up pleasure to be around. The dive itself was outstanding!!! So much to see, and she really made sure we saw things and took great photos for us. I also learned so much more as far as conservation for marine life and Hawaii. I’m just beyond pleased with the whole experience and will definitely be diving with Banyan Tree again!!!
