This trip was awesome. Our driver Isabelle was fabulous and knowledgeable of the area. Her driving skills were exceptional. At times she had to squeeze the vehicle through tight rock formations. We had an air conditioned 4x4 (we traveled in August) that could still conquer the rough road. Since this was an off road trip we explored areas of Joshua Tree National Park that a regular vehicle couldn't explore. These areas were beautiful. Highly recommend this tour. On our way to Joshua Tree National Park she stopped at the Coachella Preserve to see the middle of the San Andreas Fault and the oasis. We asker her about the fault and she brought us there even though it wasn't part of our tour.

I booked this tour mainly because I am doing a road trip around the western United States and I do a lot of driving. Sometimes it's nice to let someone else do the driving! I was pleased we went a bit off the beaten tourist track and make use of the Jeep's four wheel drive capabilities. This is a fun experience for me as I am from a country that doesn't usually require the use of an off road vehicle for actual off roading! Isabel was very knowledgeable and happily answered all of the group's questions. I was particularly fascinated by the wildlife and Isabel explained a lot about the animals that live in Joshua Tree and how they survive the harsh desert climate. I could have easily spent the whole day chatting away about the beautiful landscape, plants and wildlife. I highly recommend this tour if you want to 1) learn something new 2) see sights that tourists perhaps wouldn't be able to 3) nature / wildlife interests you 4) want the rugged off road experience and 5) want a break from driving! Thank you so much!

Isabelle's attitude, skills and extraordinary knowledge if the region made this one of our most enjoyable trips EVER! She provided further information regarding places we were headed that was spectacular. IE: drive to Temecula through the mountains rather than going around. We would take the trip again just to spend more time with her in the most beautiful deserts in the world!
