I provided a Legoland vacation to my family which included a pirate theme room at your hotel for my son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons. I also provided admission tickets for my daughter and another grandson. We were there on two consecutive days when the temperature was in the mid 90s. I think as Legoland continues to develop it has the ability to become a world class fabulous resort geared to the 2 to 12-year-old age group but they are not there yet. They currently have many employees who love their job and care about the guest experience. There are a few that are not happy to be there as I was able to hear conversations between a few young employees. Although they are in the minority Legoland needs to weed them out. The real concern I had from an employee was from an older woman with a name tag of Sue Ma that worked at Brickolini Pizza & Pasta, which is located in the area called Lego City. This park area does not have much shade. My 11 year-old grandson always runs hot and likes to take short breaks in the shade when he starts to overheat. Around 4pm while walking near Brickolini he asked his mom if he could sit for a minute. With no shade nearby they walked into Brickolini. The restaurant, which has a very large capacity, was almost empty as it was between lunch and dinner hours. Just to the left of the hostess area, within just a few steps. there were many, many empty tables. My daughter asked Sue Ma if her son could just sit down for a few minutes. Sue Ma said no, but she would call for medical assistance. Even if we accepted that there was still no offer to just sit down in the multitude of empty chairs at empty tables. Didn't she see his face was very red and just a minute or two of sitting in a cool area would have satisfied his immediate need. When not allowed to sit they left the restaurant and walked a bit down the street to your baby care building where a very accommodating employee allowed him to sit down for a few minutes. I want to recognize that employee but can't remember her name. It was Saturday July 23rd between 4:00 and 4:30. He was fine after that and continued to enjoy his day. I returned to Brickolini after my daughter told me what happened. I politely questioned Sue Ma about her decision to not allow my grandson to sit down when there were so many empty chairs within feet. Her only response was she offered to call medical. I suggested next time a child is in duress and her restaurant is empty it would be a good idea to allow a child to sit for a minute before a decision to call medical is made. This clearly skewed my review downwards. I'd love to discuss this further with Legoland management to see if they felt their employee did the right thing.
