We had a fabulous time last weekend! I wanted to praise the hotel. Although pricey, it was the highlight of our trip. My son (4 years) loved it, the theming is incredible. We walked around all the floors so see the details. Breakfast is free and included and is a delicious buffet. You need reservations but it's not crazy crowded as I expected. The lobby is fun for the kids to run around and at 8pm they do a pajama dance party that ends with a book. The elevators are super fun! The pool was great and was our view from our room. The hotel room has Legos, a scavenger hunt that leads to Legos to make and a magazine. We got cleaning service each night and they re stocked all the cool Lego soaps ECT and gave us another Lego pack. On the t.v. they have all 4 Lego movies to watch which was a great fall asleep tool.
We checked in Thur night and got an ice cream sundae at the restaurant. Then we woke up sat, got breakfast at 830am and went to the park at 940, plenty of time to take pictures and see the little welcome show at 958am. It opened at 10am on the dot. We did the park from right to left and had almost no lines all day. We used neck fans and had tons of water to refill. My husband also bought the souviner cup. We got lunch at the BBQ restaurant in brick City and I felt it was way overpriced for BBQ food that me or my son didn't care for. We left the park around 3, hit the pool, went to a different town for dinner and made it back for the 8pm pj party. The next day we did the same with breakfast then went in the pool and checked out at 1030am and got to the park and this time we did it the other way and it was a Saturday and so we waited in lines all day. We ate lunch in the pirate land and that was much better than the BBQ. It's a cafe with pizza, Asian, American, sandwiches. We left the park around 4pm and headed home.
Also the staff is so interactive, from before we went into the park everyone was so nice. Anytime someone passed my son who had had a sword they would challenge him to a duel and he loved it. We were impressed how friendly and really into it some of the workers seemed.
My husband loved it so much we got season pass holders before we left. Can't wait to come back for Halloween, Xmas and next spring/summer!
Some cons; water park not open yet, there's also some big project being worked on in the middle of the park.
The grass all around is dead, it is not visually appealing from many angles. The app is useless, it never showed the correct wait times, the dining on the app is terrible. It's good for show times though. It seems like a new park working out it's kinks...I bet next summer will be even better.
