Adventure to the max!
Highly recommend adventuring with AOTG. Shout out to Ray (Lower New), Sully (Upper Gauley), and Justin (Lower Gauley)! We loved every day on the water. We stayed in the Kaymoor cabins. Spacious enough for three adults and all of our whitewater gear. Comfortable, quiet, clean. We ate at Smokey’s on the deck—what a view. We were impressed by the quality and generous portions. Everyone we interacted with at AOTG was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed staying on site. All 3 of our rafting experiences were fantastic and incredibly well-organized. The guides are excellent, provide great interpretation about the area and history, and of course keep you safe. Gauley season is like Christmas and your birthday balled into one. Upper Gauley is a rowdy stretch. The website is very well designed, easy to navigate, and easy to book through. Highly recommend checking out all the details and talking to an “adventure specialist” if you have any questions. One of the newly designated Nation Park visitor centers is right down the highway. Definitely recommend stopping by and asking for hiking recommendations.
